This might actually be my first collection of tunes to be arranged into an album. Let’s see, I went from multi-tracking guitars from 2007-2010 (I might be too embarrassed to ever share THAT stuff). After that, it was discovering orchestral samples and making music that way. That shit kinda blended with the discovery of synthesizers which then led to….well, this. 100% synthesized music. So it was a Roland 707 and Dave Smith Tempest drum machines, Moog Voyager, Dave Smith Prophet 08, Rhodes MKII, and a Nord Electro 3 providing flutes, strings, piano and choir. Maybe a vintage Moog Model D and Prophet 5 sprinkled here and there. No software instruments.
Anyways, as usual this was a learn as you go process, lots of trial and error with sequencing these machines together before hitting the computer. Super basic mixing, almost no mastering. I didn’t really have a plan to even release this. So yeah, basically its a demo. But in retrospect, I think its pretty great creative material that I’m proud to share in all its flaw-filled glory!
